Aikido Association of America

Aikido Association of America (AAA), a nationally-based organization with an affiliation of over 120 dojos is one of several organizations that are extensions of the Hombu Dojo in Japan. Founded in 1984 by Fumio Toyoda, AAA provides instruction, recognition of schools, rank certification through standardized examinations, seminar workshops for instructional support to member dojos, Aikido demonstration, and self defense arts and weapons training. The goal of AAA is to lift American Aikido to its highest level, using traditional Japanese and modern methods of teaching Aikido arts and philosophy.
